Pay what you want -days are back – free public transport included!
The next Pay what you want -day is on Sunday 19th of March. Throughout the day customers can visit the city’s culture and sports facilities with whatever entrance fee they want to pay. All the facilities can be visited with free public transportation. This time children’s sport event Lasten Liikuntamaa is also included!
Pay what you want -day is a day when you get to decide what you want to pay for visiting the city’s culture and sports facilities. The fee can be 20 cents, 20 euros or anything you want. The goal of the day is to encourage people to visit different facilities and get new experiences.
Participating facilities are museums, swimming halls, Sports hall of Pori (Urheilutalo), Karhuhalli sports hall and public transport.
– On Sundays, there is a popular children’s sport event Lasten Liikuntamaa from 3-5 pm at Karhuhalli sports hall. This time it is also included in the Pay what you want -day. This means that you can enter the event and pay the entrance fee of your choice. If you haven’t participated yet, now is your time, says Petteri Lahti, Head of the Sports and Youth department.
– This year’s first Pay what you want -day is a Sunday and the city’s public transport is participating again. All public transport in Pori is free on the day. Take a bus and head out to the services, encourages Jyri Träskelin, Head of the Culture Department.
